I had promised Wira that I would do the deed of sharing his new other villa on my blog. While I didn't stay there (he said it wasn't ready) and particularly took any of these photos, his and his team's kindness (they say it's the Bali spell) have made me feel obliged to. The last time I was in Bali was 7 years ago and it started with Ubud as well. Updated: I was in Bali 3 years ago, but for work. Barely explored outside of the hotel, slipped my mind and I must have not considered that as a visit 😂 I was very young at that time, just decided to leave the first company I was working with after 2 years. I wanted to come back home to be close to mum. She wasn't feeling very well. My relationship with my then partner deteriorated because of my decision to come back. And then there was the hindsight that I would be jobless. Stressed, emotional and borderline losing it, there were so many things going on in my life at that time that I was desperate for an escape. And traveling soared as the trendiest thing at that time, with flights dropped as low as RM 100 return to possibly any Asian destination, emerging social media with filtered photos fueling it. I've been thinking of what to say after my recent trip, but all I can think of is, I'm so happy to be olderrr and just be alive! It's bizarre! Like, I am really ecstatic at being where I am now 😜 I just came back from a week in Bali with the first few nights alone, and was then later joined by some friends and family. Yes, I love my alone time - no, I ADORE MY ALONE TIME. Partly because when I asked everyone to do Batik painting class and cooking class with me, either none of them wanted to or don't want to spend money on it or some shit like that so I was like - fck it, I'm going to do everything I want. So I did. Doing everything I wanted. Like I'm always privileged to! 😀 Me with zero pants. I did what many any young woman would do when traveling. Eat, sleep, swim repeat. Now that I’m older, and presumably wiser, I have built my own opinions on a lot of things and another, style. Most times I am either clad in a simple top with dark pants, pearl earrings and my famous string bag pack. Other times you’ll see me donning something sweeter, mostly in white, I like the clean, crisp and casual feel of a white shirt / top. Perks of traveling around the world is seeing a lot of interesting things, learning new stuff and eventually exploring new ideas. Food, architecture, people and fashion to name a few are the things that I truly love to observe. Right after Siem Reap , I flew into Bali for work. I was very excited to go back to Bali now that this time to Kuta. My previous visit to Bali was a very leisure trip, one I spend on my own resting, reading and taking time to see the cultured things that make up Bali. I stayed in Ubud, didn’t move an inch while I was in Ubud , and didn’t even bother to explore any other place except... for Tanah Lot. Now that I’m back!! And in the infamous Kuta!! I stayed in the newest Starwood property in Indonesia; Four Points by Sheraton Bali Kuta . I’ve worked with them previously and was just so excited to meet the awesome people behind this beautiful property. Look at how beautiful this hotel is. 

"Balinese feel"  "Bali inspired designs"  I never took these words seriously until I was actually on holiday in Bali last year. I am one of those (lady) that was charmed by the beautiful Bali, through the movie Eat. Pray. Love.  YES, there I said it. Prior to the movie, I had absolutely no intention to go to Bali, mainly because of the hearsay that it is a tourist hive. And in reality? It IS a tourist hive . I just got back from a week in Ubud, Bali *weeeee* I am terribly happy because I finally, FINALLY get to visit the infamous Bali after last year's cancellation!!
