Dear "time",

It's been a while since I've actually sat down, breeze through and embrace you. I've just spent at least 3 hours cleaning my old, and new home alone. And now, I'm seated comfortably at one of my favourite spot, right under my house's only air-conditioner where it's blowing shyly at me while massive TV infront playing Grey's Anatomy. I hate this show. It speaks so much of what you've been thinking that it leaves me bawling over a sentence at times. A damn sentence. So fortunately, the past few weeks have been nothing but a blessing of absolute detachment from everything else and more so a discovery of all kinds of newness, thanks to you "time". It isn't easy to start all over again, especially when it comes to companionship. I've been away from home for 5 years now, while high school friends are always here, most of my close friends are half way around the world. Or at least hours flight away from me. That means, for now (just now) m...

Why there is such thing as living WITH regrets

Just two weeks ago, I talked to my colleagues about leaving my promising career to be with my 56 year old mother. I’m usually a happy going person, I remote all negativities or pessimism to myself so I figured some of my colleagues and friends who were shocked (totally unexpecting) to hear me leaving, deserved some sort of explanation. About a year ago, on a normal Monday morning, while friends were facing Monday blues, mum called me up to casually tell me that doctors found a lump on her left breast and that it needed to be surgically removed, soon, and that it was malignant. Life changed ever since. I was in the department alone, and work was piling up so demandingly. The moment I stepped into the office, I hear people calling me for short meetings, long meetings, emails pour in every few seconds and once I’m out from the office, I get phone calls, meeting calls. There was no time for a breather. Which I was immune to, but life turned completely upside down after that morning ...

This weekend is Mother's Day

I have been raving alot about missing my mum lately on Twitter and occasionally on Facebook. Usually, I know how to cap myself and what I want to say on, but this time I realised there isn't the need to. I've missed her so much these days that I'm getting all kinds of distraction. Soon mum, you will be above everything else eventhough you think I shouldn't put you top. I feel sad for families who can never have what you and I have, had, or will forever have because this is the most humbling kind of love everyone should learn from. ... and there I go again. Take care, strong one. Love & peace, Jacqueline Rowena @ Jacqkie.

Thank you kind people, your thoughts are more precious

Mum's always a favourite of fantasy movies :) I wish I could bring her to watch Narnia - the first time we ever watched it was in Genting I think, and mum fell in love with it. Sigh. I miss you mummy - when I'm back for holiday I'll watch all kinds of movies with you okay? *kiss* And yes, the girl here still looks like you Jessy. Today I posted on my Facebook asking whether there are people out there who would lend me their phone, cause well', I dropped mine into the toilet bowl the other day :( You know what makes me happier? People's replies. I honestly, sincerely did not expect this :) Thanks kind people. You guys will go far in life. Love & peace, Jacqueline Rowena @ Jacqkie.

Happy 55th gorgeous!

I love you. Hope you had a good time :) Can't wait to see you next! Love & peace, Jacqueline Rowena @ Jacqkie.

I'll be home for Raya!

Bring 'em fattening food, cookies! I'll be home this weekend with my mummy, sisi and abang! Love! "Why didn't you take leave on Monday?!, got more holidays!" "3 days is more than enough if you spend it wisely." "Word." "It's not the duration, it's the quality time spent together" Love & peace, Jacqueline Rowena @ Jacqkie.

2nd treatment

The second injection, and the treatment continues. As your black locks fall down gracefully, you will always remain the prettiest woman in my life. I love you mummy :) Can't wait to see you next! Love & peace, Jacqueline Rowena @ Jacqkie.

Don't rain on my days

A few days ago, mum texted me that doctors had found a lump on her breast. Dazed and confused, I reread her text trying hard to not misinterpret what I just read. For some strange reason, I was calm. Or so I thought I was. I gave her a call to clarify as I was dying to know what it was all about, hoping I could steer clear of all things possible. And what was something I thought could help me ease the pain got me even more indignant at accepting the news. I was hurt, more than anything. I know her very well. She is the kinda person that would use all the subtle words to describe everything. Typical mums. Especially bad news in particular. I tried digging in deeper on what was/is the seriousness of the situation, but all she could say was that the removal operation needed to be done the soonest. ...while I go ahead with the rest of the day. Distracted. Mad. Because I felt helpless, that I am 2.5 hours flight away from the person I love the most, that I am incapable of saying all things ...

From Melbourne & Graduation in Adelaide

It's super ironic. Working in a blogging community has made my particular blog slowly dying off! Too busylah. It's either I choose to catch up with sleep, or go out with friends. I can never, ever juggle my 24 hours well. Or least, am trying. Anyway, last week I went to Australia for my graduation! I am blessed to have such awesome bosses who granted my leaves. Thank you so much! Truly appreciate it. I went to Melbourne first, and stayed the first night with Chee Hang. Who so sweetly let mummy slept on his bed, while he and I bunked on the floor. Damn funny. I woke up early in the morning to see him lying next to my leg. I almost stepped on his head O.O Because we were there for only a day, we went walked around Flinders St., and somehow or rather, we reached this Melbourne Tourist Information lady who encouraged us to take the free tourist shuttle. Mum said yes (obviously, free & touristy) and much to my awesome delight Melbourne's pretty darn gorgeous. The art ce...

My lovely short visit

The last time I was in KK, I saw tons of magazines and newspapers on my bedroom floor. So I asked my sister what's the newspaper cuttings for and she said, "They're not mine. Mummy has been doing some paper cuttings early in the morning or late at night. When I ask her why, she never tell me, so I tida peduli lah" "Huh? So weird" Okay so when I went back KL, I completely forgot about my mum's weird 'newspaper cuttings' until I reached home few nights ago. This is what I saw; Isn't she the most adorable mom ever? She made this cardboard cutting for my sister as encouragement for her SPM. I teared almost immediately after looking at the cardboard and tried really hard to hide my tears from my sister. I straight away went up to my mum and hugged her eventhough she was already fast asleep. My poor beautiful mum. Happy father's day mummy! Yes, I celebrate Father's Day with my mum 'cause she plays both the roles :) Here is my sister...

Gastric & BSB

At this very moment, the nightcrickets are making the perfect harmonious for a good night sleep, and the knowing that my baby sister is sweetly sleeping on the bed (where I will join her later) brings joy to my heart. I love this place. Referring to my title, last Saturday was bittersweet. That night before, the boys finally decided to make Melaka happen. People that (supposedly) followed were, Geoffrey, Kent, Daren, Amir, Brian, me and fishy Dara! Unfortunately, only that morning Amir informed us about the sad news that he couldn't join us! If he were to FFK us we would probably kicked his ass, but this time it was really his dad - since he had to leave his girl, Dara as well. After much persuading, fast forward, we finally had proper breakfast at around 11.30AM in Subang. When we started the journey, I was still okay, had quite an empty stomach but I thought we'd reach there by 1PM or so and could straight away have our lunch. BOY WAS I WRONG! We reached there at 3PM. The jam...

Selamat Kembali ke Sekolah

Three more days 'till I'm back to that lonesome house again, I've been quite busy lately - I don't have much time to spare for blogging that much during the Christmas holidays. Frankly, I find holidays this time too awesome, I really do not want to go back KL this time. My heart is at its' heaviest to leave this home this holiday. I find peace massaging mummy just now. Though partly, because I was talking to her about money and life, I find it hard to believe that by the end of this year, I'll have to start working too, like thinking of the future kinda work. My time as a student will finally be up, it's time to pay dues to my mum. It was quite enlightening talking to her, she made me realize the best and the worst things in life, that every sweat dropped is to make the babies in the house smile. I've promised myself to help my mum in anything she does or wants in future. She's probably world's greatest mum, because she has taught all three of us...

Orientation Day

Today was my first day of degree. Well it wasn't much actually, because all I did was sitting in a cold room, trying to make every bit of what the speaker says, sound funny. Just because. Oh, and I even renamed all my images in the phone. That's how bored I was. Other than that, I met old and new friends today :) Super happy because I get to do a little bit of networking. Am I excited for a newer, bigger class? Yes and no . I'm not interested in big classes because my attention span would be lesser, but I'd get to listen to more random opinions, and definitely see more colours that gives life to a class. That is of course a plus point. Life's been slightly difficult for me these past few days. I haven't done much talking to some people and I hope that things will get better in time. I couldn't help but feel tremendously guilty because I knew it was my fault that I got carried away. I'm trying to make things work now, but somehow I'm... Scared . Ple...

We cook also la

India Arie-Purify Me I studied the whole weekend so don't give me that look. I got bored, and hungry, so I decided to blog. I'm laughing my brains out watching Ty Barnett on youtube, and man that guy got some serious jokes. You guys should really check him out. Like, seriously. My brother came over for the weekend, with iPod touch in his hand, which yes, I was in a caveman mode playing with it when he shoved it to me. These canggih things are way too cool for me- by the time I know how to use it, it sure will be outdated already. Knowing that Man U vs Chelsea will play at 7.30pm last night, I reminded my brother about it, being the sweet guy he is, he told me it's okay that he'll miss the first few minutes of the game to teman me for dinner. So I separated with him after reaching MidValley, couple of minutes later I saw a familiar guy standing witha bunch of other men outside Chillis completely ignorant of the world around them, got their senses locked to the TV ...

Two days!

I cant believe Christmas is just around the corner. Usually at this time around, I would already be all jumpy and excited for Christmas but it's somewhat dull this year. I know that my Chrismassy mood would escalate drastically when I meet up with my family, so now, I'm just waiting for my reasons of living to come down to KL and will spend lots of quality time with them. I miss them, terribly. I really do. Oh if you're wondering why I have all these funny Christmas images, I have one thing to share with you guys. I personally think Christian/ Christmas jokes and humors are the best. Not the racist jokes, or those proffesion mockings, but Christian jokes yo! I can actually google for it everyday and laugh by myself reading or looking at those pictures, I know, I can be very lifeless at times. If you remember any part of my previous posts where I talked about my health, just so you know, things actually got worst. My knee caps would be in pain on a regular basis and my whol...

I'm so excited!

Everytime I'm in the car with mummy, we would never miss this conversation: Me: *singing to the music* You can stay under my umbrel.. Mummy: *switches channel* Me: ....I'm singing to it. Mummy: *..found Lite FM* Wohoo, this is more my music. Me: But it's old. Mummy: Which part of me looks young to you? Me: ..... Mummy: It's my car, it's my petrol, and i'm paying for lunch later. So enjoy my music! Me: But, meh*, It's weirdlah. Somehow all the birds can sing and all the guys want to cross over the valley just to see the girl. *sigh* Mummy: *trying hard not to laugh* Hey, it's my car okayy! However, right now, I'm so obsessed with Lite FM. I couldn't get enough of Lite FM. I used to think they play really slow music, only for those who've been in this world long enough to know all the music, and of course *makes yawning gesture*. I've succumb to Lite FM for pure relaxation and old memories. Although I admit sometimes I absolutely have no cl...

I miss mummy

Ah, what I just did was pure sin. I just ate a whole zinger burger, a regular cheezy wedges, 6 pieces of nuggets and galloped a regular cup of 7up. I suggest no more junk food!.... until october. hahahahahaha. Anyway. It's a Friday night and I have absolutely no plans at all. If doing Laundry and Sleeping in all night is a plan then I guess, I have big plans tonight. (SAD CASE) This world's been crazy sick, I dont understand it anymore. The young girl that was raped (with cucumber & brinjal) and was murdered, seriously bothered me. It's at times like these that I question God mercilessly. I will pray for her and her family. Today was slightly sad and disturbing for me as well. My lecturer showed me the Petronas Advertisement for Last Year's Raya and my friend next to me broke to tears and me, almost to tears, as well. I was holding up so hard I didnt want to have another mass tear-ings anymore. and this some of you might know what I mean. That commercial made me re...

Them

They pushed themselves around and played with each other's hair. Both wearing simple shirts and trousers. Whispering of things i'd not want to know. She was skinny, short-haired, with thick glasses. Acnes covered most of his face, he has short undefined haircut, and was smiling amusingly, which I assume at his appreciated jokes. They seem so.. happy? trouble-free? i'd say in love. Puppy love. The really fun puppy love. It never failed to make me smile. It was like a scene I visualized from a book I read, a young couple pleased with each other's companion more than anything in the world. It was everything they thought they needed. Looking at them, love seems so believable and innocent. I was lost in my thoughts after seeing the young lovebirds. The only thing I remember was asking myself; .......What. The Hell. Am I. Looking. For. In Them ? How do I summarize of my week? The usual paperworks, and the usual Bridget Jones' moments of course. Self-esteem and ambitions...

one sweet day

If you've read my previous post, you would have known what kind of position I'm in. *** The noises outside my room woke me up. I walk out, saw the time. It was 10. Decided to put my clothes into the dryer. I took the toothbrush. Brushed my teeth and gave myself a smile. Still, not a sincere one . I couldn't help thinking about my post. Was i being such a cry baby for posting it for the whole world to see? Regardless, I posted it already. and I'm never a cry-baby, I confirmed it. It's just a therapy, Jacqkie. Give yourself a break. I know almost all my posts are hillarious, it's just not right but It's never wrong either. I just thought it would be a big fat lie, hypocrite and selfish of you, if you haven't given yourselves somethings to think about and not to educate people about it, by not blogging your emotions and experiences. Instead just the hillarious moments, like what I do best and most. I grabbed The Notebook. Switched the TV on. I dont wan...

Oh, this is how I got my back-ache?

He introduced himself as *John . The first thing i noticed about him was his straight white bite. I knew instantly he isn't what i hope he is. He had a pink purplish shirt and well-groomed spiky hair. His nerdy look reminded me of Daniel Radcllife in no-where else but you-know where. By looking at his flawless skin, i'm guessing it was just yesterday he had a shave. He was slightly taller than me, but shorter than him, and just when i thought i couldn't be anymore right he muttered it to us; "I'm a dancer. A Ballroom dancer." With his charming humility i wonder where did the energy and spirit of a dancer in him came from. when asked which dance was the hardest, he gave the usual- awwww answer which no girl can resist, "I'm not sure. If you really love dancing, like I do, it should be okay, and I can always teach you." *and flashes that smile again* I'm no-where near his league. He's very cute, and very homo-sexual. *sigh* It's been p...
