Dear Mum,

I have such nice perks in this industry, I would like to confess and righteously admit that. I am very thankful to my office. Things that I thought were once myth or could only hoped for is slowly happening.

While I still have the urge to type last night out by bits

When you put a bunch of adrenaline rush junkies in a VIP area where all you meet are (what seemed like) a bunch of famous people, mix it with the free flow of alcohol concoctions, sweet ones I might add, jumble them up with drop dead gorgeous urbanites equipped with their absolute love for parties and socialising - you get, a pretty much scandalous night. Think plenty of upskirts, and you're not supposed to make out with me kinda scenes.

Like how bestfriend Khoo ended up on stage again, this time infront of possibly about 4, 000 people. Doing his MJ square dance. It was really good to see him again. Missed him terribly. Or like how your drunk good friend kept looking at you, like he's undressing you, layer by layer, piece by piece. Over, and over again. Oh God.

And how you almost fell (face first, ass jutting out second) thrice at the same spot. You know what the drunkards always question, WHY ARE THERE STAIRS HERE?! Really, at an event like this people should be allowed to take lifts, elevators because stairs just seem non-existent, visible rather, to us.

I'm sorry I went missing for a good hour. I was caught up rooting for Khoo on stage.

But before all of you speculate that I was this drunk, throwing tantrums at waiter or gotten chummy with friend A party-goer throughout the night, (un)fortunately, I didn't, am not mostly. In fact, I was among the sober ones and managed to stay poise with just that right level of high throughout the night.

I'm not sure when I'll retire from this lifestyle. Like how you always insist that that particular diet would be the real deal this time, but no... you're munching on Cheezels at 11PM again. Shit, get back to issue.

Dawn Yang, Fay Hokulani were there. There were so many familiar faces. So, so many. But I couldn't put their names on their faces. I remembered them vaguely as acquaintances, not even so actually.

I think I just described Hartistry in words, without pictures. Not nice ey?
And then comes this Saturday again. I need time to crash and burn. Seriously.

What are you guys coming as?

Love & peace,
Jacqueline Rowena @ Jacqkie.

I'd like a new kite :)

There's something strangely therapeutic about seeing your kites fly high.
Life's been a little crazy lately, am married to my work. In whatever disguises they are, I am always working. Participating in working related stuff :)

ChurpChurp Fly Kite Day @ Taylor's University

Today the whole world knows about 'Uncle Ken'.

When Daren (the boyfriend) was about 5 years old, and was given a Ken, Barbie doll's significant other, (it's a Barbie Doll regardless - there's no such thing as a 'male doll' okay baby stop defending yourself), Daren calls his doll 'Uncle Ken' because he thought it was a polite thing to do since Ken looked older than him.

AWWWWWWWW. WHO DOES THAT?!

I almost got a heart attack from laughing.

Halloween @ October 30

It's back!

Wait for your invites and see you there!

*Ever since the discovery of Flickr, I'm allergic to compressed photos.

All you need is love.

I love unconventional love stories.
The oddities are hilarious, but most touching.
Why do most people run from things that are strange and foreign to them,
and not choose to learn and love them?

Why MSN is the shiznit

Because the night before I changed his MSN Display Name to 'Sexy Beast' ;

Among other important issues we talk about.

Like, who'll be the next Superhero.

As you all can see from the amount of dialogues each of us had - I AM THE MOST INNOCENT ONE. *halo around head*

Hennessy Artistry @ Malaysia International Exhibition & Convention Centre, Mines Resort City

How does 4,000 club goers dancing to bright lights while jiving to Kardinal Offishal, Da Mouth, DJ Alex Dreamz, Mizz Nina, Deja Voodoo Spells & FoulWorks, Ms. Eva T and with the best concoction of drinks in your hand sounds like?

Sounds like Hennessy Artisry biggest bash of the year to me!

No I'm serious. Check out last year's finale crowd :

Only Hennessy Artistry can pull of this crazy yearlong parties. I never knew about Hennessy Artistry's biggest bash - since I was in Aussie for the second part of the year last year until I saw these photos. Crazy weh.

Last Hennessy Artistry was kinda late for me - reached there about 10.30PM so when we reached the VIP area wanting to try out the drinks, there was already this metres long queue :( Housemate kinda pushed me in and I got our drinks in mere minutes! Hehehe. Other than that, we also realised that we could actually request for the drinks from the waiter and waitress. HEE.

This time I cannot be fashionably late since I'd be doing a-bit of covering of the event, and attend the PCs and meet and greet session. Woot!

The array of Hennessy Artistry waiting to be devoured by KL urbanites. You guys are damn drinkerslah. To be honest with you, even if I can drink so much I try to limit myself to maximum 3 glasses because my friend, it is NOT fun to be walking woozily in parties.

So drink safe, maintain posh!

The final - like really FINALE of this year's Hennessy Artistry comprises of a a massive line up that I personally think will make all you dance freaks out there go crazy.

Meet your entertainers for the night :

Ready to bring the house down. READY I tell you.

Last Hennessy Artistry, I came with dear Kent who was so sweetly throughout the night teman me and make sure I have loads of fun. We were also heavily checking out on girls, because did I tell you - Hennessy Artistry's girls are polished from head to toe. They're all gorgeous in their own ways, except for certain photos I saw today that almost 'popped' on my face. Hehe.

Kent's words of wisdom :

GET MORE DRINKS!

Me and Michelle! Thanks for this pic :)

Hennessy Artistry Big Bash is for invites only so to be able to grab those tickets, you can follow Hennesy on Twitter or head straight to the Facebook FanPage. I'm pretty sure these passes are not easily obtainable so you might want to try out these two platforms asap :)

Venue : Malaysia International Exhibition and Convention Centre, Mines Resort City

Now... who should I bring next?

Medea

Kent promised to meet up with me for lunch but after almost an hour or so waiting alone - I realised I was (instinctively) drawn to all my theatrical skills that I learned back in Uni when I'm alone, observing.

They were,

1. Describing live characters in detail (usually the ones that attract me the most)
2. Listening attentively to conversations around me
3. Basically then create my own drama from all that I've picked up

The epitome of theatre, is conflict. Our lives are nothing but a series of jumbled up events that comprises of interpersonal and intrapersonal conflicts. Plots are never derived from contentment. Never.
"O Romeo, Romeo! wherefore art thou Romeo?
Deny thy father and refuse thy name.
Or if thou wilt not, be but sworn my love
And I'll no longer be a Capulet." William Shakespeare, Romeo and Juliet.
Theatres' background and environment descriptions will not be spoonfed at it's entirety. It leaves most to dialogues - hence the hour long monologues and dialogues that you see on stage. Spectators that can never stand too much dialogues will well, find theatre boring. On the other hand, when one likes the build up of the conflicts you are will most certainly be glued to it. Conflicts happen because of the secondary point in theatre, - clashes of characters.

Here's what I've come up with from the half an hour observation session. See whether you could picture what kind of character I'm describing, and comment if you think you know ;

*huff, puff - huff, puff*

"I don't understand this girl. Her eyes grope me like she knows me, met me before. Like she understands me, like she knows me.
That smile. An acknowledgement? These grains are falsely attracting my eyes, making circles, making shapes. While I sit here being stared at for no reason. Dear God, let me change seats. The stand fan's barely blowing any air, crumpety sounds. Old pictures make stories. I make stories. Ceramic cups.
***
I could still feel her. My gold chains are clucking against the table. Like a sing song warning. Shines. Sun rays hit my gold chains like. *huff-puff, huff-puff** Almost like a pride show of masculinity. Okay, twenty's over.
***
"十一个,两个十六"
Maybe I should show them to her. She seems a bit tired. She could use abit of entertainment.

That all aside, I've bought my tickets for Medea next Friday, October 15. My first play since I first move to KL. I think besides all the gifts that I've given to my family this would be my best investment (for myself too) so far :)

Excited!

Love & peace,
Jacqueline Rowena @ Jacqkie.

Eins, zwei, drei, g'suffa!

October is a special month! :)

It's filled with birthdays of - yours truly, Mummy's, Sway's, Karen's... among many other. October is when I toast to happy days the most. Wishing for all good things ahead of us.

This October however is extra, extra special. At least it should be.

Say hello to Oktoberfest! :)

Undoubtedly, September was a crazy month for me. The nuffies (namely Yuen, Michelle and Fresh) and I almost everyday come to office with the craziest of workload on us. But if there's one thing special with these bunch of people as well is the fact that we can really have fun after all the craziness. So this month our plan is to attend as many Oktoberfests' parties scattered around as we could. So we covered Souled Out Hartamas last Friday, maybe Sid's TTDI next Thursday, and of course Laundry Bar the next day which also falls on a Friday! Yeay! :)

*fingers crossed - work will be merciful on us these nights*

After a long day of work, the girls and I just wanted to unwind for abit and relax :) Now that Paulaner is freshly served in places nearby my place like MidValley, TGIF, The Curve, Sid's - my favourite Friday night spot Zouk, there's almost no reason for party people around me not to enjoy their drinks all night long this month. My friends and party people back in Sabah gets to enjoy the street party this October 16 at Waterfront as well. Yeap!

Last Friday was the official kick-off for Oktoberfest here in Klang Valley, we were rushing all our work to leave office on time to enjoy our favourite drinks and after getting lost for about an hour or so right up to Jinjang, we finally found our way :)

...and was welcomed with a massive 1 litre mug.

Err, say hello to free flow!

Best part about this Oktoberfest’s promotion is that for just RM50! – you can have this massive mug of your favourite beer Tiger. Pretty awesome I’d say. I shall bring the BF for some beer shower next time, shall we? :)

But of course, I was quite a fail drinker turned out I only had to gulp once, cause after that I was already feeling kinda woozy from all the tiredness from work. Yeah so pathetickan. One mug of supposedly free flow, turns out I literally had only one mug -________-

I had meself this temporary tattoo as well, because well... I was feeling very restless at that time.

We were extremely hungry as well, so we head down to get some bigass German sausages. Which I first tried back when I was in Aussie! OMG they're really awesome, and not too expensive either - the sauces which came in Black Pepper, Onion and Barbeque were really good as well.

The best part about the Oktoberfest launch, I must say was the culturally induced elements in it. So it's a German fest... Of course there will be the guys wearing lederhosen, and the girls in their Bavarian and Dirndl dress. The girls were kinda wearing the sexified version of Bavarian dress ;)

I admit. Before all this I honestly did not know what this German Festival Oktoberfest was really all about. So I googled it, read about it in other places, and here's my understanding of what this festival's all about ;

It was a wedding celebration of a powerhouse couple, a Prince and a Princess in 1810, that has evolved in centuries to become some sort of a family and friends' gathering to enjoy the beers and lagers brewed by local breweries. So technically, kids can join in the fun as well, except - no drinks in hand! :) For more information on the Klang Valley Oktoberfest Celebrations, check out here, Oktoberfest with all the beer-y details you need!

So here's a toast to a good October, a month we won’t mind to go through all that kinds of stress – but err, maybe no more for Linda. *evil laugh

Love & peace,
